Prepare for Your First Appointment

We want your first appointment at Mind-Care to be as smooth, comfortable, and supportive as possible. Starting therapy or attending a specialist appointment can feel like a big step, and our team is here to help make the process clear and welcoming.

The information below explains what to expect before your first appointment, including practical details about preparing for your session, completing any required forms, and arriving at your appointment. Taking a few moments to review this information can help ensure your appointment runs smoothly and that you get the most out of your time with your clinician.

If you have any questions before your appointment, our administrative team is always happy to assist. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need help with appointment details, referral requirements, or accessing your session.

Before Your First Appointment

Before your appointment, our team may send information for you to complete.  This may include:

  • Intake forms
  • Consent forms
  • Questionnaires relevant to your appointment

Completing these forms before your appointment helps ensure your clinician has the information needed to make the most of your session.

Telehealth Appointments

Many people find telehealth to be a convenient and comfortable way to attend appointments

If your appointment is scheduled via telehealth:

  • You will receive an appointment link before your session
  • Ensure you have a stable internet connection
  • Choose a quiet and private space for your appointment
  • Use a device with a camera and microphone

We recommend logging in a few minutes before your appointment to ensure everything is working correctly.

In-Person Appointments

Appointments are also available at our Charlestown clinic for patients who prefer to attend in person.

Please aim to arrive 5–10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. This allows time for check-in at reception and helps ensure your appointment can begin promptly.

Our clinic is located at:

Level 3, 28–38 Smart Street
Charlestown NSW 2290
