Fees and Medicare rebates for psychology and psychiatry appointments are outlined below to help you understand the cost of care at Mind-Care.

Fees may vary depending on the clinician, the type of service, and the length of the appointment. The information below provides a general guide to common consultation fees and available Medicare rebates. Fees are the same for both in-clinic and telehealth appointments.

Psychology Appointments

Individuals with a valid GP Mental Health Care Plan will be able to claim the Medicare rebate after the session.

The Telehealth‑Only Plan is available for clients whose care is delivered entirely via telehealth. This plan is designed for clients who cannot attend in‑person appointments at any time. This includes people who are:

Housebound due to medical or mobility needs
Living interstate or long‑distance from our clinics
Relying on fully remote care for safety, access or support reasons

The Telehealth‑Only Plan is not available for clients who use a mix of in‑clinic and telehealth sessions, or who switch to telehealth occasionally due to illness, transport issues, scheduling needs, after‑school activities, parent‑only appointments, or other convenience‑based reasons.

NDIS Funding

Mind-Care is a registered provider under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). We accept self-managed, plan-managed, and NDIA-managed participants. NDIS services are billed in line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements. NDIS fees for psychological services are outlined in each participant’s service agreement and reviewed annually. The current rate for psychological services is $252.99 per hour.

Mind-Care offers a range of assessments, including:

Autism (ASD) assessments
ADHD and ASD assessments
Cognitive and learning assessments
Neurological assessments

Assessment packages often include multiple sessions, scoring, analysis, and report preparation.

Because assessment requirements vary depending on the individual and referral pathway, fees may differ depending on the type of assessment and clinician involved.
