Services available to Port Macquarie residents
Our team of psychologists, clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, and neurologists works with adolescents and adults across anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, OCD, grief, relationships, life transitions, and more.
Medicare rebates are available for eligible services with a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP or a referral from your psychiatrist. We also work with NDIS participants.
Several of our psychologists are SIRA-approved and experienced in delivering telehealth psychology for workers’ compensation across NSW. Our psychologists are registered with AHPRA and experienced in working by telehealth.

Telehealth or in-person, your call
For most Port Macquarie clients, telehealth is the practical choice: no Pacific Highway traffic, no half-day trip to Newcastle. Appointments are held via secure video call or phone and can be scheduled around your life. For clients who prefer coming in person, our Charlestown clinic is accessible and welcoming.
A practice with genuine depth
Mind-Care is not a platform or a booking service. We’re a real clinical practice, based in Charlestown, Newcastle, with a multidisciplinary team, consistent clinical oversight, and a genuine commitment to continuity of care. We are connected to Educare, which has been providing allied health services across New South Wales for over 25 years.
Common questions
Do I need a referral to see a psychologist?
No. You can book privately without a referral. If you would like Medicare rebates, ask your GP for a Mental Health Care Plan first.
Can I get Medicare rebates for telehealth in Port Macquarie?
Yes. Telehealth psychology attracts the same Medicare rebates as in-person sessions when you have a Mental Health Care Plan.
Who do your psychologists work with?
We see adolescents and adults across a wide range of concerns, from anxiety and depression to trauma, ADHD, OCD and life transitions.
Can you help with a workers’ compensation claim?
Yes. Several of our psychologists are SIRA-approved and experienced in providing telehealth psychology for injured workers across NSW. Workers’ compensation appointments are arranged through our team, so reach out and we’ll guide you.
