Laura is a clinical psychologist who has been practising in various roles in the public health and private sectors for the past five years. Laura is experienced in working with complex and persistent mental health presentations in individuals 15 years old and above.
Laura is client-centred, personable, warm, and empathetic. She values creating a safe and collaborative environment for therapy.
Laura enjoys working with adolescents (15 above) and adults across anxiety disorders, depression, mood disorders, relationship difficulties, trauma, emotional deregulation, adjustment difficulties, substance use disorder, body image concerns, sexuality, LGBTQI+ and ADHD.
Laura also focuses on providing evidence-based support for adults exploring ADHD, including late-diagnosed ADHD, ADHD with trauma histories, and women-specific considerations such as Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) and perimenopause. Her approach integrates practical strategies for executive functioning, trauma-informed care, and cycle-aware planning, consistent with national guidelines.
Laura utilises a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Schema Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
Laura loves spending time with friends and animals outside of her work, enjoying the sunshine and nature.
