Dr Bruce Youlden assumed the role of Managing Director of EduCare Specialist Services in January 2019, bringing more than four decades of experience in educational leadership and organisational development.
Working alongside Clinical Director Dr Anne-Marie Youlden, who founded EduCare in 1999, Bruce now oversees the strategic growth and development of the organisation as a multidisciplinary medical, health and educational practice. This includes the expansion of services through Mind-Care, the mental health division providing psychology, psychiatry and neurology services within the broader EduCare framework.
Bruce’s leadership focuses on strengthening integrated models of care that address the mental, emotional, medical and educational factors affecting young people and families. Under his direction, the Charlestown clinic has expanded significantly, now operating from the Sky Central West Building with more than 30 consulting and group rooms and a growing team of clinicians and support staff.
Bruce and Anne-Marie share a strong commitment to supporting children, adolescents and families to overcome barriers to wellbeing and achieve their potential.
Outside of work, Bruce enjoys spending time with his family and gathering together with loved ones whenever possible.
