About Leilani

Leilani de Silva is a Clinical Psychologist with more than ten years of experience across public and private mental health settings. She supports adults and young people with a wide range of psychological difficulties, including complex and persistent mental health presentations. In addition, she has a particular interest in complex pain and women’s pelvic pain, including experiences related to endometriosis. Leilani offers thoughtful, evidence‑based care that is both clinically rigorous and deeply compassionate.

Therapeutic Style

Leilani brings a warm, calm and collaborative presence to therapy. She focuses on building a strong therapeutic relationship so clients feel safe to explore their experiences and develop insight. She also works from a trauma‑informed and neurodiversity‑affirming framework, recognising the ways life experiences, relationships and physical health can shape emotional wellbeing. As a result, clients are supported to work toward meaningful and sustainable change.

Areas of Focus

Leilani supports clients with a broad range of concerns, including anxiety disorders, depression and mood difficulties, trauma, emotional dysregulation and adjustment challenges. She also works with relationship and attachment difficulties, stress related to life transitions and the psychological impact of chronic health conditions. In addition, she supports individuals navigating complex pain and women’s pelvic pain, including endometriosis. This breadth of experience allows her to respond flexibly to the needs of adults and young people.

Therapeutic Approaches

Leilani integrates a range of evidence‑based modalities, including:

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
  • Psychodynamic therapy
  • Mindfulness‑based approaches

She tailors treatment to each individual. In practice, this means helping clients build practical skills, deepen self‑understanding and move toward a more stable and fulfilling life.

Outside the Therapy Room

Outside of her professional work, Leilani enjoys cooking, quiet rainy days and spending time with dogs and cats. She also enjoys being outdoors, going for walks and finding small moments of calm in nature. These interests help her maintain balance and bring a grounded presence to her therapeutic work.
